The Senior Analyst, Supply and Material Planning is responsible for leading the end-to-end supply chain process implementation of GBSC Spirits, RTDs, raw materials and direct materials across all Vendors, Co-packers and the GBSC Distillery. In this role they will support all finished goods production requirements while working with the Distillery and the co-packer network to assemble production plans that stay within pre-specified targets, ensuring that the required components for production are ready for production.
What You’ll Be Doing:
- The Analyst will be responsible for short and long-term production, blending, distilling, and packaging transition schedules while managing risk from a demand, supply and materials perspective
- Interact frequently with supply chain, production, sales, demand planning, innovation & finance
- Develop production scenarios considering transit lead times, inventory, demand, distillation, and packaging transition timeline
- Responsible for analysis and optimization of production slots (sequence and schedule at co-packer network & Distillery) for finished goods production plan to be valid and feasible
- Create weekly production plans according to the process/timing for each co-packer & the Distillery
- Work closely with the Distillery Manager to optimize spirit production schedules and receiving schedules of NGS at the Distillery.
- Responsible for analysis and optimization of storage requirements and pallet positions based on set and planned production schedules
- Monitor monthly inventory reports by pallet to develop accurate storage forecasts and provide updates to our 3PL network, securing adequate storage at all time
- Ensure internal workflows files are ready and support the transfer of information across stakeholders/cross-functional teams
- Interact with production & logistics to ensure production plans adhere to run rules while minimizing supply chain losses
- Develop min max levels for all inventory ensuring optimal safety stocks of both finished goods and materials
- Maintain inventory controls across our network of warehouses
- Keep close contact with logistics and suppliers to anticipate materials reception, organize transition and communicate any schedule updates
- Learn and document co-packer manufacturing capabilities and communicate changes/updates to internal stakeholders/cross-functional teams
- Identify and act on improvement opportunities in day-to-day operations
- Support and/or manage SAP inputs where needed
- Keep up-to-date trackers and data (inventory, BOMs, material status, flow-through date, run-out date, projected and actual production date)
- Develop KPI dashboards and reports for senior management
- Ensure that planning tools and planning process is maintained and adhered to (i.e. meeting deadlines, for submitting and validating plans)
- Monitor materials inventories and production plans across supplier and co-packer network for obsolete materials
- Champion sustainability by reducing waste and write-offs (tracking and projecting write-offs and processing disposal orders)
- Lead & participate in weekly reporting with cross-functional team to ensure clear communications concerning impact on cost and time
- Lead S&OP meetings in conjunction with the National Sales Intelligence Manager
- Work with Head of Operations to ensure utilization of best methods (statistical models and software tools) in the development of forecasts, production, and material plans
What you need:
- Completed Bachelor’s degree, ideally in Supply Chain Management and Planning or Commerce
- 5+ years of demonstrated experience in production & material planning in a multi-plant network or other relevant field
- Prior CPG or Alcohol Beverage Industry experience preferred
- Experience working with and managing a co-packer
- Have a strong understanding of supply planning, inventory management, and forecasting (APICS subject areas)
- Well-developed interpersonal and communication skills, team building skills, influencing & negotiation skills to lead without direct influence
- Strong computer skills, such as Excel, supply chain planning tools such as APO-SAP (APO-SNP, APO-DP), and Business Intelligence tools
- Strong quantitative and analytical skills, ability to analyze ambiguous data, determine key information elements, develop optimal plans, and recommend & execute action plans that weigh risks and benefits
- Demonstrated ability to work across functions, business units and geographies – a strong background in a matrixed organization is beneficial
- Be a problem solver, have a strong analytical sense and give attention to details are a must for this position
- Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects at one time
